Malavika Menon Breaks Silence On Controversial Yellow Outfit Photoshoot That Stirred Criticism

Malavika Menon: From Hit Films To Online Stardom: Malavika Menon, a prominent young actress in the Malayalam film industry, has made a mark with her notable performances in multiple hit films.

Alongside her successful acting career, Malavika actively engages with her audience on social media platforms. Recently, Malavika addressed the controversy surrounding one of her viral photoshoots, which faced criticism due to its glamorous nature.

Malavika opened up about the viral photoshoot in an interview with Variety Media, held to promote her new film, 'Padmini'. Joining her in the interview was actress Vincy Aloshious, who plays an important role in the movie.

During the interview, Malavika expressed her indifference towards the comments on social media, emphasising that she only reacts when false information about her is spread. "I don't dwell too much on these things. I appreciate honest feedback, but I find it unpleasant when baseless rumours are circulated. In such cases, I tend to respond. Whether it's a positive or negative opinion about me, if it's true, I will accept it," stated Malavika.

Malavika Menon Opens Up About Controversial Photoshoot

Later in the interview, the presenter raised the topic of the controversial viral photoshoot in which Malavika appeared in a yellow costume. The photoshoot garnered moral criticism and received obscene comments.

In response, Malavika clarified, "It was a fun photoshoot, done by a couple who are like family to me. I had no intention of it becoming controversial. We were all shocked. Some accused us of planning it, but that's not true. I edited and uploaded the footage overnight, and the next day, I discovered it had gone viral. Only then did I realise the interpretations and accusations surrounding it."

Vincy interjected, noting that the attention garnered by Malavika's photoshoot was due to her status as an actress known for her roles in films like 'Joseph'. According to Vincy, a similar photoshoot by someone else may not have received as much attention.

Malavika Menon: Growth As An Artist

Reflecting on her growth as an artist, Malavika shared, "In the past, I didn't have much knowledge or understanding. I simply followed the director's instructions. I was in 10th grade when I acted in 916, which was more like a vacation project. Today, I aspire to work in more films and portray compelling characters." Malavika also mentioned that she now contemplates how to enhance her characters once she receives a role, showcasing her evolved approach to her craft.
