Mammootty's Mischiefs
During the filming of 'Thommanum Makkalum,' Benny P. Nayarambalam fondly recollected, "I had the pleasure of accompanying Mammootty in his car. We would travel together to the shooting location and return in his car. Mammootty himself would take the wheel, and we would be joined by Lal and Shafi, following us on the way to the hotel in Pollachi."
Mammootty, known for his love of speed, often finds himself on the receiving end of Lal's humour. Benny P. Nayarambalam shared, "Lal jokingly suggests that if you want to ride with Mammootty, you better carry a bag to hold onto your life. Mammootty enjoys pulling off some tricks during these moments. He speeds up and overtakes Lal's car, only to let them pass again. And then, just when Lal thinks he's ahead, Mammootty surprises everyone by overtaking once more."
Benny P. Nayarambalam shared an amusing incident from the shoot, stating, "At times, Mammootty would take a detour into a hidden lane, making his car disappear from sight. Lal and the others travelling on the main road would assume that Mammootty had already left. But to their surprise, Mammootty would catch up with them, honking his horn from behind. It left Lal and the others wondering how Mammootty, who had seemingly left earlier, managed to reappear behind them. Those were some of his mischievous acts."
According to Benny P. Nayarambalam, Mammootty generously treats the film crew to delectable biryani on set. "During every filming location, Mammootty ensures that special biryani is prepared for everyone as a gesture of his love. Talented biryani makers are brought in to create various types of biryani. He wholeheartedly shares this delightful feast with the entire production team," revealed Benny P. Nayarambalam.
