Renowned Malayalam Filmmaker K G George Passes Away at 77: In a sombre moment for the world of cinema, celebrated Malayalam filmmaker K. G. George, known for his influential contributions to the industry, passed away on Sunday at the age of 77 in an old-age home located in Kakkanad.
K. G. George, who had been ailing due to a stroke, was undergoing medical treatment prior to his demise. His exceptional work as a filmmaker earned him numerous accolades, including the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam for his debut creation, 'Swapnadanam,' in 1975.
The government of Kerala recognised his immense contributions to Malayalam cinema by bestowing upon him the prestigious J. C. Daniel Award in 2015, an honour reserved for those who have left an indelible mark on the industry.
