Mamukkoya's Son Recalls His Father's Last Moments: Mamukkoya, who amazed Malayalam silver screen as a comedian and character actor, left this world on the 26th of last month.

In a recent interview, Muhammed Nisar, Mamukkoya's son, recalled his father's final moments. "That day, Uppa talked to everyone at home, drank some juice Umma gave him, and went to attend a football tournament. He was already suffering from heart block. When he reached there, he had a heart attack and was rushed right away to the hospital. He was in the ICU for two days. He later died." Nisar Said.

"Director V. M. Vinu and his father were very close to Uppa. That is why Vinu complained that many people didn't show up for the funeral. His remark was out of his affection for my Uppa. We don't have any such complaints. A funeral is not something to be invited to. People will know for themselves, and thus they will come. The family members do not believe that many did not come because of any anger towards Uppa," said Muhammed Nisar.

Mohanlal Talked To Me Like An Older Brother

Everyone was very close to Uppa. Mohanlal was in Japan, and he called me twice. He talked to me like an older brother. Mammootty was in Mecca. He went there to perform Umrah after his mother died. He also called. People will be busy due to various commitments, and it might be impossible for them to come here amidst their busy schedules. Innocent and Uppa were very close friends. Every now and then, the houses will be visited. Will call and talk at least twice a week. But when Innocent died, Uppa was in Dubai. He was there to attend a programme arranged by a company. There was also a golden visa reception ceremony.

Golden Visa processing was expedited by Marcon Iqbal, an insider in the Emirates government system who submitted all the documents related to Mr.Innocents' death. Uppa came back after he participated in the golden visa ceremony. Uppa doesn't like to bother others for his convenience. On the third day after Innocent's death, Uppa came back to Kerala and went to Innocent's house the next day. No one complained that Mamukkoya did not come, despite being such close friends.

On Beypore Sultan's Recommendation; This Is How Mamu, Became The Comedy Sultan Mamukkoya! On Beypore Sultan's Recommendation; This Is How Mamu, Became The Comedy Sultan Mamukkoya!

Dileep had called. Many people came. On the day Uppa died, many people were seen blaming the media. They were of the presumption that the media was bothering us. But all the media personnel who came here asked my prior permission to interview me. No journalists have come to disturb us in the midst of this grief. The media has always helped my Uppa's growth.

There were people who thought that stars like Mammootty and Mohanlal would come, and they were waiting and rushing to see them and take photos. They didn't agree to take the body out of the hospital; they pushed me aside when it was time to get into the ambulance. They didn't allow me to get into the ambulance, even though I told them that I was Mamukkoya's son.

Even during the funeral, some people crowded around and tried to take photos. I want to tell them to please don't do such things on such occasions. A son should be able to perform his father's posthumous rites without any hindrance. When we were walking with the body, three or four people were walking in front of us with cameras.

"When Uppa's body was brought out of the hospital to be 'cleaned', some people came in, saying that they wanted to see the body. They were rushing and trying to take photos. A few also asked me to pose for a photo. Then I said, 'My father is dead; it is not his second wedding that is taking place'. I apologise if I have offended them, but they need to understand this. Please don't use such occasions for political gain. You will not get any benefit from such things," he said.
