Empuraan's Shooting Schedule Revealed: In the world of Malayalam cinema, no recent sequel has generated as much excitement as Mohanlal's 'L2: Empuraan'.

The announcement of the film came during the successful theatrical run of Prithviraj Sukumaran's directorial debut, 'Lucifer', in 2019. However, due to the unexpected COVID-19 situation, the project had to be delayed.

In recent days, Prithviraj and the crew have been busy scouting locations for the film. While Prithviraj initially aimed to start shooting by the middle of this year, the latest reports suggest a slight delay in the schedule.

According to reliable trade analyst Sreedhar Pillai, the shooting of 'L2: Empuraan' is set to commence in the first week of September, with Mohanlal joining the team at the same time. The film will have multiple locations in India and abroad, starting with Noida and Ladakh.

"Mohanlal will start shooting for his big-budget action extravaganza, 'Empuraan' (aka 'Lucifer 2'), directed by the stylish filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran, in the first week of September. The film, produced by Antony Perumbavoor, will be scheduled in Noida and Ladakh, and later in foreign locations," tweeted Sreedhar Pillai.

'Empuraan' A Grand Film With Vast Story

Prithviraj had previously revealed that 'Empuraan' would be a grand film with a vast story background. It will explore events that occurred before and after the timeline of 'Lucifer'. The shooting schedule depends on the chosen filming locations and the suitable weather conditions. Prithviraj expressed his desire to start shooting in India or Kerala by mid-2023.

The film is expected to be an action-packed entertainer, larger in scale than its predecessor. The script for the sequel is penned by writer Murali Gopy.

Exciting updates have surfaced, including the addition of talented actors Arjun Das from 'Kaithi' and Shine Tom Chacko in significant roles in 'Empuraan'. There are also reports that the producers of the blockbuster film 'KGF' will be involved in the project.
