Nassar's Unexpected Apology: In an unexpected revelation, filmmaker Nassar is extending a heartfelt apology for his directorial venture 'Popcorn', which featured none other than superstar Mohanlal in the lead role.

During an exclusive interview with Mathrubhumi.com, Nassar bared his thoughts about the film, stating, "I must express my regret for 'Popcorn'. It didn't meet the expectations I had set. Beyond Mohanlal's superstar status, I want to focus on the genuine person that he is. He possesses a remarkable understanding of his co-stars, devoid of any airs or arrogance that often accompany stardom. The film I directed alongside Mohanlal was a misstep, and for that, I apologise sincerely."
Nassar's admiration for Mohanlal extends beyond the silver screen. Reflecting on their past collaborations, Nassar shared, "Working with Mohanlal is a liberating experience. He creates an environment where fellow actors can perform without mental constraints. I recall my initial days during the film 'Mukham, when I was unfamiliar with Malayalam. Mohanlal's support was unwavering; he not only helped me understand the dialogues but also guided me in perfecting the nuances of each pose."
The accomplished actor-director also delved into his extensive journey across various languages, including Malayalam, spanning over 35 years. Nassar admitted, "Each language offers a distinct experience. Malayalam cinema stands out for its inclusiveness, erasing the distinction between a superstar and a co-star. It's heartening to witness everyone gathering, sharing meals, and laughing during their free time."
Contrasting the collaborative atmosphere of Malayalam cinema, Nassar shared insights into his experiences in other film industries. "Hindi cinema operates with a more professional approach. Scripts are finalised in advance, with script readings being a common practise. Regardless of the industry, my journey in cinema has never ceased to captivate me. It's a journey that thrives on continuous learning and growth. While many cherish various forms of art, only a few are fortunate enough to sustain themselves through them," Nassar affirmed, leaving a candid window into his artistic expedition.
