'Navya Nair Is Sachin Sawant's Girlfriend' In ED Charge Sheet, Received Luxurious Gold Necklace
ED's Startling Revelation In Sachin Sawant's Case: In a sensational development, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has revealed startling details about the case against IRS officer Sachin Sawant, who was apprehended on charges of amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.
According to the ED's charge sheet, Sawant allegedly gifted a gold necklace valued at Rs 1.75 lakh to renowned actress Navya Nair, referring to her as his 'girlfriend'.
The charge sheet further discloses that Sawant frequently traveled from Mumbai to Kochi to meet Navya Nair and, on at least one occasion, presented her with the extravagant gold necklace as a gift, according to a statement provided by his driver.
The ED's investigation has uncovered illegal assets amounting to a staggering Rs 4.11 crore linked to Sawant. Out of this total, Rs 2.5 crore is purportedly in the name of his family, while the ED alleges that he engaged in benami transactions under the guise of his driver's name.
It is reported that the ill-gotten gains were strategically invested in the businesses of close relatives and friends, masquerading as salary payments. However, Sawant's legal team vehemently denies these allegations, asserting that all assets in his name are accounted for and challenging the authenticity of the ED's charge sheet.
Family's Response: Navya Nair's Connection With Sachin Sawant Under Scrutiny
In response to the unfolding investigation, Navya Nair's family has issued a statement clarifying their relationship with Sachin Sawant. They emphatically assert that their connection with Sawant is purely neighbourly and deny any receipt of gifts from him, except for occasional birthday presents for Navya's son.
Highlighting the nature of their association, the family underscores their shared residency in the same housing society and their willingness to assist Sawant during his visits to Guruvayur. This statement from the family comes in light of the ED's ongoing inquiry into Navya Nair's connection with the embattled IRS officer.
Navya Nair, a prominent figure in Indian cinema, has amassed numerous accolades in her career, including two Kerala State Film Awards for Best Actress, Filmfare Awards South for Best Actress in Malayalam, and the prestigious Kalaimamani Award, recognising her outstanding contributions to Tamil cinema.
