A 'Pan Global Cinema' From Mollywood; Jayasury's Fantasy Movie To Start Filming Soon

'Pan Global Cinematic Experience From Mollywood': The shooting of the Big budget multi-lingual film 'Kathanar' directed by Rojin Thomas with Jayasurya in the title role will start filming soon. The film comes with the tagline Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer.

'Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer' is inspired by the mythical stories of Katamattatthu Kathanar, a priest who is believed to have possessed supernatural powers and whose legends are closely related to the beginning of the Kadamattom Church, one of the oldest church buildings that still exist in Kerala.

The legends of Kathanar which are still influential and intriguing among the audience today are being adapted into a film with the support of modern technologies and excellent actors. The film is being produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies, one of the biggest film production companies in Malayalam cinema.

The film is directed by Rojin Thomas, who directed the hit films 'Philips and the Monkey Pen' and 'Home'. The 'switch on' function of this film happened on Wednesday, April 5th on the Gokulam floor in Pookatupadi, Kochi. The function started with a 'Pooja ceremony' attended by the film's crew and friends. Gokulam Gopalan, Jayasurya, Rojin Thomas, Krishnamurthy, Rahul Subramanian, R. Ramanand, Neil D'Cuncha, Rajeevan, Uttara Menon, and several other dignitaries attended the function.

Virtual Production Technology, First Of Its Kind In The Indian Film Industry: The shooting of the film will start on the 10th of April, the 200-day shoot will take place on a massive 45,000 square-foot modular shooting floor, built exclusively for this movie at Pookatupadi by Gokulam Movies. Utilizing virtual production technology, it is the first of its kind in the Indian film industry. The set was designed by Rajeevan, who is well known for his work in Tamil and Telugu films. Krishnamurthy is the Executive producer of this film.

It has been two years since the pre-production of this film started. The crew clarified that meticulous pre-production was needed for this film. "This epic production features a technical crew of specialists, a surprise cast list, and over-the-top action choreography that will leave audiences breathless. The film will be released in seven languages, making it a truly pan-global cinematic experience," the writer of the film R. Ramanand said in his social media post.

"Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer, will be a film that promises to transport audiences to otherworldly dimensions through a mesmerizing tale woven by a wizard from Kadamattom," Ramanand added.
