Prithviraj Sukumaran's Health Update: Prithviraj Sukumaran, the renowned actor, recently suffered a leg injury while filming a sequence for his upcoming movie Vilayath Buddha.
He was promptly admitted to the hospital, where he underwent successful keyhole surgery. Currently, Prithviraj is in the process of recuperating.
Taking to social media, the versatile star provided an update for his well-wishers, who were eagerly awaiting news about his health.
In his post, he shared, "Hello! So yes...I had an accident while shooting an action sequence for VILAYATH BUDDHA. Fortunately, I'm in the hands of experts who performed a keyhole surgery, and I'm now recouping. It's rest and physiotherapy ahead for a couple of months. Will try my best to use that time constructively, and I promise to fight through the pain to recover fully and get back into action asap. Thank you to all those who reached out and expressed concern and love."
As a result of Prithviraj Sukumaran's injury, there will be adjustments to the current plans for his upcoming movies, including "Vilayath Buddha," "Guruvayoor Ambala Nadayil," and "Empuraan." However, the filming of "Salaar" will remain unaffected as Prithviraj has already completed his portions for the film.

Sachi's Dream Project, 'Vilayath Buddha'
"Vilayath Buddha," adapted from the novel of the same name by G. R. Indugopan, is directed by debutant Jayan Nambiar. Initially announced to be directed by Sachi, the film's direction was taken over by Sachi's assistant director, Jayan Nambiar, following Sachi's unfortunate demise. Prithviraj Sukumaran will portray the character of Double Mohanan in this thrilling film set amidst the enchanting sandalwood groves of Marayur. Prithviraj's portrayal of this character promises a unique and captivating performance.
The cinematography for the film is handled by the renowned Arvind Kashyap, acclaimed for his work in the film 'Kantara, which resonated with audiences nationwide. The production is led by Sandip Senan, known for producing films such as "Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum," "Sathyam Paranja Viswasikkuvo," and "Saudi Vellakka," under the banner of Urvashi Theatres.
"Vilayath Buddha" features Kottayam Ramesh in the prominent role of 'Bhaskaran Mashu,' with Anu Mohan, Rajashree Nair, TJ Arunachalam, and other talented actors joining the cast. Priyamvada plays the female lead opposite Prithviraj in the film. The shooting for "Vilayath Buddha" commenced in late September 2022, and the music of the movie is composed by Jakes Bejoy.
