Pulimada heralds the comeback of cinematographer Venu to Malayalam cinema after a hiatus of nine years. The movie is a collaborative production effort from Rajesh Damodaran and Sijo Vadakkan, under the banners of Appu Pathu Pappu Production House, Ink Lab Cinemas, and Land Cinemas. The commencement of principal photography for the film took place on January 5, 2022, amidst a ceremonial pooja held at the Mount Avenue Hotel in Ambalavayal. During the ceremony, Stephy Zaviour lit the Nilavilakku, producer Dixon Poduthas initiated the switch-on, and Suraj P. S. marked the beginning with the first clap. The entire film was shot within a single 60-day schedule.
Ishaan Dev is the composer of the film's music, while Anil Johnson is responsible for the background score. The lyrics for the songs are penned by Rafeeq Ahamed, Dr. Thaara Jeyashankar, and Fr. Michael Panachikal. Notably, the orchestra for the film's music hails from Budapest. The first song, titled 'Arikil Onnu Vannal,' made its debut on August 22, 2023.
