Renji
Panicker's
Ban
Lifted:
Renowned
figure
in
the
film
industry,
actor,
scriptwriter,
and
director
Renji
Panicker,
has
had
his
ban
lifted
by
the
Kerala
Film
Exhibitors
United
Organisation
(FEUOK).
The
ban
was
imposed
due
to
unpaid
dues
by
the
production
and
distribution
company
associated
with
Renji
Panicker,
causing
financial
strain
on
theatre
owners.
Renji
Panicker
has
assured
that
these
outstanding
amounts
will
be
settled
through
installments,
as
confirmed
by
FEUOK
President
K.
Vijayakumar.
FEUOK
had
highlighted
an
outstanding
advance
of
Rs
30
lakhs
for
a
film
distributed
seven
years
ago,
which
remained
unpaid.
Consequently,
FEUOK
had
taken
the
stance
of
not
releasing
Renji
Panicker's
new
film,
'A
Ranjit
Cinema.'
Yesterday,
the
theater
owners
unanimously
decided
to
refrain
from
screening
any
films
associated
with
Renji
Panicker,
including
those
produced
or
collaborated
upon
by
him.
With
the
resolution
of
the
issue,
FEUOK
has
now
agreed
to
screen
'A
Ranjit
Cinema'
in
theatres
starting
on
December
8.
This
development
follows
a
previous
ban
imposed
on
Renji
Panicker
in
April,
where
FEUOK
restricted
the
release
of
any
films
involving
him.
Despite
this
ban,
the
movie
'Section
306
IPC,'
featuring
Renji
Panicker,
proceeded
with
its
release
on
April
8,
disregarding
the
enforced
restriction.
