TV Actress And Friend Arrested For Alleged Honey Trapping: Nithya Sasi (41), a resident of Malayalapuzha, Pathanamthitta, and Binu (48) from Kalaikode, Paravur, have been apprehended by the police on charges of honey trapping and extorting Rs 11 lakh from a 75-year-old ex-serviceman and former Kerala university employee from Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram.

Revelations From The Police Investigation

The incidents in question took place starting from May 24 when Nithya contacted the complainant under the pretext of renting a house. Subsequently, she visited the house and struck up a friendship with the elderly man.

According to the complaint, Television Actress And Lawyer Nithya threatened him inside the house and coerced him into undressing while she took explicit photographs. Binu was involved in capturing the compromising pictures.

Using the compromising images, the duo demanded a sum of Rs 25 lakh and threatened to share the photos on social media if he did not comply. Succumbing to repeated threats, the victim paid Rs 11 lakh.

When they demanded more money, the elderly man decided to take action and lodged a complaint with the Paravur police on July 18.

Police are currently investigating whether Nithya Sasi and Binu have been involved in similar fraudulent activities in the past.
