Vayalar Ramavarma Film Awards 2023: The prestigious Vayalar Ramavarma Film Awards 2023 or the The 15th Film Awards of Vayalar Ramavarma Cultural Forum unveiled its winners, and it is the critically acclaimed film "Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam" that won the coveted Best Film prize.
The movie's director, Lijo Jose Pellissery, is also honoured as the Best Director, showcasing his exceptional storytelling prowess.
In a remarkable display of talent, Darshana Rajendran won the title of Best Actress for the film Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey. Her captivating performances and incredible dedication to her craft continue to earn her well-deserved recognition within the industry.
Another highlight of the Vayalar Ramavarma Film Awards is Soubin Shahir's triumph as he secured the Best Actor award. Shahir's outstanding portrayal in both "Elaveezhapoonchira" and "Jinn" earned him immense acclaim from critics and audiences alike.
Expressing his gratitude, Shahir took to his social media page to share his heartfelt appreciation.
He wrote, "Much gratitude to the jury as well as the audience for the love shown for both 'Elaveezhapoonchira' and 'Jinn.' Both of these films hold a special place in my heart, and receiving the Vayalar Ramavarma Award for Best Actor makes this recognition even more meaningful. A big shout out to the incredible crew of 'Elaveezhapoonchira' and 'Jinn' for creating such exceptional movies and allowing me to be a part of them. To my dear audiences, none of this would have been possible without the love and support you have showered upon me throughout these years."

Chalachitra Prathibha Awards
Chalachitra Prathibha Award will be given to director Priyadarshan, actor Shankar, and actress Menaka. The award winners were selected by a jury headed by former member of the National Film Award Selection Committee and director Adv. Shashi Paravoor, and comprising directors Balu Kiryat and Pramod Payyannoor, singer Ravi Shankar, and Jayanthi, former deputy director of the Film Academy. The officials announced in a press conference that the awards will be distributed in a ceremony held in Nishagandi, Thiruvananthapuram, in the first week of September.
