Director Vinu Of Suresh-Vinu Directorial Duo Passes Away In Coimbatore Hospital

Director Vinu of the famed Suresh-Vinu duo passes away: This morning, the film fraternity mourns the loss of Director Vinu (73), one half of the renowned directorial duo Suresh-Vinu, who breathed his last at a Coimbatore hospital. Vinu was admitted to the hospital yesterday following a sudden illness.

Vinu, according to reports, had been working on a new film in the psychological thriller genre before his untimely demise.

Vinu's Journey In Cinema

Throughout his career, Vinu, alongside Suresh, made a mark with remarkable movies like 'Kusruthikaatu' (1995), 'Mangalam Veettil Manaseswari Gupta' (1995), 'Ayushman Bhava' (1998), 'Bharthavudyogam' (2001), and 'Kanichukulangarayil CBI' (2008).

His directorial journey commenced with 'Mangalam Veettil Manaseswari Gupta' in 1995, followed by 'Kusruthikaatu,' featuring a script by J. Pallassery. In 1998, he helmed 'Ayushman Bhava,' backed by Vasu P's screenplay. The culmination of his directorial career came with 'Kanichukulangarayil CBI' in 2008.

Vinu is survived by his wife, Anuradha Radhakrishnan, and two children, Monica and Nimish. The cremation is scheduled to take place tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. at the Singanallur Crematorium in Coimbatore, marking the final farewell to the revered filmmaker.
