Aadujeevitham Production Journey and Challenges

Based on Benyamin's well-received Malayalam novel from 2008, "Aadujeevitham" follows Najeeb's transformation from a Malayali labourer to a goat herder on a secluded Saudi Arabian farm. Director Blessy initiated the project in 2009 after discovering the novel a year earlier. Despite financial hurdles, Blessy persevered and finally secured production in 2015 with backing from producers Jimmy Jean-Louis and Steven Adams. A.R. Rahman's emotive score enriches the film's storytelling.

The filming process unfolded over six phases between March 2018 and July 2022, encompassing diverse locations such as the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan, the Sahara in Algeria, and Kerala, India. A significant 70-day hiatus in the Jordanian desert, prompted by COVID-19, marked a pause before the production reached its successful culmination on July 14, 2022.
