Aadujeevitham OTT Release: "Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life)" is a Malayalam survival drama film helmed by Blessy, who took on roles as the writer, director, and co-producer. Aadujeevitham OTT Release Update

Besides its success in Malayalam, "Aadujeevitham" has received praise in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. Prithviraj's exceptional performance and character transformation have earned him widespread admiration among audiences. Fans eagerly await the film's premiere on the OTT platform.

Despite earlier expectations and reports, Disney+ Hotstar, a significant player in the streaming industry, does not possess the rights to 'Aadujeevitham'. Although there were initial reports suggesting the film would begin streaming on OTT on May 26, the makers have not officially confirmed this information.

According to film industry tracker AB George, the OTT rights deal for "Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life)" is currently pending, as reported by reliable sources. The delay is attributed to the filmmakers' recent agreement with a major studio for their Oscar campaign, with various related details still being ironed out. Given the film's ambitious scope beyond traditional theatrical release, including international recognition goals, discussions for OTT and satellite distribution will follow once these pivotal arrangements are settled.

From Novel to Screen: The Journey of Aadujeevitham

"Aadujeevitham" draws its narrative from Benyamin's acclaimed 2008 Malayalam novel, inspired by true events. In the film adaptation, Prithviraj Sukumaran portrays Najeeb, a Malayali labourer who finds himself trapped as a goat herder on a remote Saudi Arabian farm.

The film's journey began in 2009 when Blessy decided to adapt "Aadujeevitham" after reading the novel in 2008. Prithviraj was cast in the lead role that same year, and Blessy worked closely with Benyamin on the screenplay. However, financial challenges hindered progress on the project. Blessy spent several years searching for a producer and finally succeeded in 2015, enabling the project to move forward. Jimmy Jean-Louis and Steven Adams came on board as producers, and A.R. Rahman was enlisted to compose the film's original score and songs.

Filming for the movie extended across six phases from March 2018 to July 2022, encompassing various locations, including the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan, the Sahara desert in Algeria, and multiple sites in Kerala, India. A hiatus of 70 days took place during filming in the Jordanian desert from March to May 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions, after which the crew was repatriated to India through the Indian government's Vande Bharat Mission. The filming wrapped up on July 14, 2022.
