Dhoomam OTT Release: The nationwide release of the film "Dhoomam," featuring Fahadh Faasil in the lead, took place on June 23, 2023, garnering a blend of reactions from viewers.

Written and directed by Pawan Kumar, the movie boasts a stellar ensemble cast from both the Malayalam and Kannada film industries. "Dhoomam" has been released in multiple languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

Significantly, "Dhoomam" represented the inaugural foray into Malayalam cinema for Hombale Films, the esteemed production company responsible for hits like KGF and Kantara. Pawan Kumar, celebrated for directing movies such as Lifeu Ishtene, Lucia, and U Turn, took the reins of this Malayalam feature film for the first time.

Dhoomam Digital Streaming Details

Despite the promising collaboration between Pawan Kumar, Fahadh Faasil, and Hombale Films, Dhoomam fell short of expected success. It garnered harsh reviews and faced delays in its OTT release. Eventually, it debuted on Apple TV under the Transactional Video on Demand (TVOD) model instead of more mainstream platforms. Nearly a year after its theatrical release, Dhoomam is receiving another opportunity on OTT. In commemoration of World No Tobacco Day on May 31, Hombale Films will premiere the film on their official YouTube channel, aiming for broader accessibility.

Dhoomam Cast And Crew

Dhoomam represented Fahadh Faasil's project following the success of the hit Malayalam film Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum. At the time of its release, the film was described as Fahadh's most ambitious undertaking in terms of budget. Aparna Balamurali played the female lead, reuniting with Fahadh after their previous collaboration in the critically acclaimed film Maheshinte Prathikaaram. Roshan Mathew, Achyuth Kumar, Vineeth, Joy Mathew, and Anu Mohan also starred in pivotal roles.

The movie features music composed by the acclaimed Kannada musician Poornachandra Tejaswi, with cinematography helmed by Preeta Jayaraman. Preeta, recognised for her contributions to films such as Kannamoochi Yenada, Abhiyum Naanum, Aakasamantha, and Hey Sinamika, is the niece of the esteemed cinematographer P.C. Sreeram.

Karthik Gowda and Vijay Subramaniam served as the creative producers, with Renganaath Ravee handling the sound design. Shibu Sushilan took on the role of executive producer, while Kabir Manav served as the line producer. Chetan DSouza was the action director; Joha Kabir handled the fashion styling; and Srikanth Pupala was the chief associate director. Josmon George served as the script advisor, Babin Babu headed distribution, Obscura Entertainment handled digital marketing, and Manju Gopinath acted as the PRO.
