Kerala Film Critics Awards 2023:The Malayalam film 'Aattam,' produced by Dr. Ajith Joy and directed by Anand Ekarshi, clinches the Best Film Award at the 47th Kerala Film Critics Award for 2023. Ekarshi is also honored as the best director for his work on the film. Biju Menon is recognized for his performance in 'Garudan,' while Vijayaraghavan is acknowledged for his role in 'Pookkaalam,' both sharing the award for Best Actor. Similarly, Shivada, for her portrayal in 'Jawanum Mullappoovum,' and Zarin Shihab, for her role in 'Aattam,' jointly receive the award for Best Actress.

The Kerala Film Critics Award stands as the sole private award in Kerala that is determined by a jury process, which involves inviting submissions and conducting screenings before finalizing the winners.

The previous year's awards were announced by Dr. George Onakkoor, the Jury Chairman and President of the Association. The judging panel included members such as Thekkinkad Joseph, Dr. Aravindan Vallachira, Murali Kottakkakam, and A. Chandrasekhar.

Chalachitra Retnam - Lifetime Achievement Award

The lifetime achievement award, Chalachitra Retnam, was conferred upon Sreenivasan, recognized for his roles as an actor, sciptwriter, producer, and director.

Ruby Jubilee Award

Director and actor Rajasenan has been honored with the Ruby Jubilee Award, established to celebrate the Association's 40th year, in recognition of his remarkable contributions to Malayalam cinema.

Chalachitra Prathibha Awards

Renowned actor Mukesh, Premkumar, Suhasini, film editor Bina Paul Venugopal, and producer Kireedom Unni have been chosen as recipients of the esteemed Chalachitra Prathibha Awards.
