According to film industry tracker AB George, the Malayalam film Kishkindha Kaandam has achieved a remarkable milestone, grossing ₹65 crores, marking it as a blockbuster success. The film's impressive earnings include over ₹34 crores from Kerala, more than ₹25 crores from overseas markets, and around ₹4 crores from the Rest of India (ROI). This strong performance not only highlights the film's widespread appeal but also solidifies its status as one of the standout releases in recent times.

Kishkindha Kaandam Synopsis

When Appu Pillai (Vijayaraghavan), a retired army officer, realizes his gun is missing, his son Ajay Chandran's (Asif Ali) new wife, Aparna (Aparna Balamurali), takes it upon herself to investigate. As she uncovers the family's hidden secrets, including the mysterious disappearance of Ajay's son, the authorities get involved. Near the officer's property, a skeleton, shot three years prior, is found, and a photographer captures an image of a monkey holding the missing gun. These startling discoveries add layers to the mystery, connecting the missing weapon to the family's unsettling past.

The cast of Kishkindha Kaandam boasts a talented ensemble, featuring Asif Ali as Ajay Chandran K. V., Vijayaraghavan as Appu Pillai, and Aparna Balamurali as Aparna. Supporting roles include Ashokan as Sivadasan, Jagadish as Sumadathan, and Aarav as Chachu. Vyshnavi Raj plays Pravina, while Shebin Benson portrays Prasobh. Major Ravi appears as Jacob, and Nizhalgal Ravi takes on the role of Dr. Amrith Lal. Nishan is featured as Sudheer, Kottayam Ramesh plays DySP, and Arjun Radhakrishnan Ambat portrays a wildlife photographer. Completing the cast is Shravan K. Dev as a police inspector.

Directed by Dinjith Ayyathan and produced by Joby George Thadathil under Goodwill Entertainments, the screenplay, story, and dialogues are written by Bahul Ramesh, who also served as the cinematographer. Sooraj E.S. handled the editing, while Mujeeb Majeed composed the music. Kaka Stories oversaw project design, with sound mixing by Vishnu Sujathan. Trailer mixing was done at 20db Black in Chennai by Balu Thankachan, and audiography was handled by Renju Raj Mathew.
