L2: Empuraan New Poster:The character look for "Empuraan," the latest film directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, has been unveiled. The poster features Khureshi-Ab'raam, portrayed by Mohanlal, and was released in celebration of Mohanlal's birthday. In the image, Mohanlal is seen walking alongside armed security guards.
Filming for "Empuraan" is underway in Thiruvananthapuram, where a recently leaked video from the set has garnered viral attention across social media platforms.
The film is the second installment in a trilogy, succeeding the 2019 movie "Lucifer." The film is set to release not only in Malayalam but also in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, in collaboration with Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Productions.
Alongside returning stars like Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Baiju Santhosh, and Fazil from "Lucifer," favorites like Suraj Venjaramoodu, Sharafudheen, and Shine Tom Chacko are rumored to join. Murali Gopi pens the script, Sujith Vaassudev handles cinematography, and Deepak Dev leads the music direction.

Bobby Deol takes on the role of Abbas Akthar, while Vivek Obroy appears as Bimal Nair / Bobby, and Shakti Kapoor embodies Sanghani. Manju Warrier stars as Priyadarshini "Priya" Ramdas, alongside Tovino Thomas as CM Jathin Ramdas and Indrajith Sukumaran as Govardhan. Suraj Venjaramoodu portrays BPS Leader Vasudevan Kilimanoor, with Manoj K. Jayan as Central Minister K.C. Somasundaran and Toby Stephens as Marshal. Clieve Standon stars as Ruther, and Anushka Rudra Varma appears as Andrea Jennifer.
The cast also includes Bobby Simha as NIA Chief Govind Ramaswamy, Shine Tom Chacko as Christo, Pasupathy as Ranganathan, Sharafudheen as NIA Officer Abhilash, and Saikumar as Mahesha Varma. Baiju Santhosh stars as Murugan, with Saniya Iyappan as Jhanvi, Nyla Usha as Arundathi Sanjeev, and Sshivada as Govardhan's wife. Giju John portrays Sanjeev Kumar, while Fazil appears as Fr. Nedumpally and Sachin Khedekar as P.K. Ramdas. The extensive cast further includes Nandhu as P.S. Peethambaran, Shivaji Guruvayoor as Medayil Rajan, Aneesh G Menon as Sumesh, Aadhil Ibrahim as Riju, Baburaj, Bala, Jaise Jose, Alexx O'Nell as Interpol Officer Robert McCarthy, Vinduja Menon, Arjun Das, and Rahul Madhav.
