The
Motor
Vehicle
Department
(MVD)
of
Kerala
has
reportedly
taken
decisive
action
against
national
award-winning
Malayalam
actor
Suraj
Venjaramoodu
following
a
road
accident
attributed
to
overspeeding.
The
incident,
which
occurred
on
the
Thammanam-Karanakodam
road
in
Ernakulam,
involved
Suraj's
vehicle
colliding
with
a
bike,
resulting
in
injuries
to
the
rider.

Proceedings
And
License
Suspension
Decision
Following
Road
Accident
The
accident
took
place
during
the
late
hours
of
July
29,
2023,
when
Suraj's
car
collided
with
the
bike
ridden
by
Sarath,
a
31-year-old
from
Manjeri.
Sarath
sustained
a
fracture
to
his
right
big
toe
along
with
injuries
to
other
toes.
In
response
to
the
incident,
Palarivattom
police
initiated
legal
proceedings,
registering
a
case
and
subsequently
handing
over
the
First
Information
Report
(FIR)
to
the
Motor
Vehicle
Department.
Despite
the
MVD
issuing
three
notices
to
Suraj
requesting
an
explanation
to
avoid
the
suspension
of
his
driving
licence,
the
actor
has
not
provided
a
response.
Consequently,
the
department
has
made
the
decision
to
suspend
his
license.
