Omar Lulu Charged With Raping Actress: Malayalam director Omar Lulu faces serious allegations of rape brought forth by a young actress. The complaint, lodged with the Kochi City Police and later transferred to the Nedumbassery Police, accuses Lulu of multiple instances of rape under the guise of friendship and offering a chance in a film.

The actress, now permanently residing in Kochi, alleges that Lulu raped her between January and April at various locations. The Nedumbassery Police recorded the statement of the actress regarding the incident. The complainant had also acted in Omar Lulu's previous film.

Omar Lulu Denies Allegations and Asserts Blackmailing Claims

In response, Lulu vehemently denies the accusations, attributing them to personal vendettas and extortion attempts. He contends that his relationship with the actress was consensual and claims that the complaint stems from resentment over severed ties. Lulu further suggests the involvement of a blackmailing group behind the complaint. The Nedumbassery Police will soon interrogate Lulu regarding the allegations.

Omar Lulu's latest project, "Bad Boys," features Rahman and Dhyan Sreenivasan in lead roles, with Sheelu Abraham as the heroine. The movie's production is underway.

Omar Lulu debuted in the film industry with his first feature, "Happy Wedding," released in 2016. Following this, "Chunkzz," starring Honey Rose and Balu Varghese, was released. However, it was his third film, "Oru Adaar Love," that brought him fame both within and outside Kerala. "Dhamaka" followed as his fourth film. His fifth film, "Nalla Samayam," encountered significant controversies upon its release. The Kozhikode Excise registered a case against Omar Lulu for allegedly promoting the use of MDMA in the film. Consequently, the movie was withdrawn from theatres just three days after its release. Additionally, Omar Lulu participated as a contestant in Bigg Boss Malayalam season 5.
