Manjummel Boys Producers Under Investigation By Enforcement Directorate; Soubin Shahir To Face Questioning

Manjummel Boys Producers Under ED Probe: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has launched an investigation into the producers of the film "Manjummel Boys" following allegations of financial irregularities. Reports indicate that producer Shawn Antony has been questioned by the ED, with actor and producer Soubin Shahir slated for questioning as well. The investigation centres on suspected black money transactions associated with the film's production.
The probe stems from a case registered by the police against the producers of "Manjummel Boys" regarding financial fraud. Subsequent to this case, the Enforcement Directorate initiated its own investigation.
Alleged Financial Fraud And Cheating
The producers of the film have asserted that a total of Rs 22 crore was expended on its production. However, according to findings from the Ernakulam Maradu Police, who conducted their own investigation, this claim is disputed. Their report suggests that the actual production cost amounted to only Rs 18.65 crore, contradicting the producers' statement.
One of the key grievances in the case revolves around the alleged failure of the producers to fulfil profit-sharing agreements. Despite "Manjummel Boys" achieving blockbuster success, the complainant, Siraj, who invested Rs 7 crore in the film, claims to have received no returns. The producers purportedly offered Siraj a 40% share of the profits, yet no payment was made despite the film's commercial success. Siraj further alleges that the producers did not contribute any funds towards the film's production, exacerbating the financial dispute.
As the investigation by the Enforcement Directorate progresses, further details are expected to emerge regarding the alleged discrepancies in the financial dealings surrounding the movie 'Manjummel Boys'.
