Face To Face Review
Face to Face, directed by VM Vinu and starring Mammootty and Ragini Dwivedi in the lead is yet another feather of 'flop films' in superstar Mammootty's cap!
Mammootty is undoubtedly one of the best actors in the Malayalam film industry, but not even his superb acting skills could save the fate of Face to Face. Director VM Vinu seems to be so enamoured by the superstar's aura and personality that he has portrayed a 'larger than life' unbelievable character of Mammootty.
Face to Face fails big time as far as script is concerned. The combination of melodrama and mystery doesn't quite click and you begin to wonder what the director had in mind in the first place. Music by Alphonse is mediocre and uninteresting.
Face to Face revolves around Balachandran (Mammootty), a Circle Inspector who is under suspension now. He is extremely hot tempered and has managed to make great fortunes from real estate and share market.
A brash young politician named Thomas Punchakkadan (Feroze Khan) is brutally murdered. Thomas is the son of the ex-state home minister Varghese Punchakkadan (Vijayaraghavan). Everybody suspects Balachandran to be the murderer since Thomas was responsible for his suspension. After the initial investigation, Balachandran decides to figure out himself the mystery behind the murder and even ultimately cracks the suspense.
