'Kathanar -The Wild Sorcerer' is a Malayalam movie directed by Rojinn Thomas. The film features Jayasurya and Anushka Shetty in the main lead roles.

The film is being produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies. Scripted by R Ramanand, 'Kathanar' marks Tollywood actress Anushka Shetty's debut in Malayalam cinema. Neil D'Cunha handled the cinematography director and Rahul Subrahmanian Unni as the music composer.

Story Line

The fantasy thriller drama "Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer" is based on the real-life story of Kadamattathu Kathanar, a legendary priest from Kerala who is thought to have resided in Kadamattom and possessed paranormal abilities. National State Award winner, Jayasurya will be essaying the titular role in the movie. Mounted on a massive budget, Kathnar is a pan-Indian movie that will be released in seven different languages.

Shooting In Progress

Jayasurya takes on the lead role of the titular character, a mythical priest endowed with magical abilities in the film, which is in the final stages of production. The third schedule of the film is making steady progress, with 44 days already successfully completed. This multi-lingual film, set to release in seven languages, also stars Anushka Shetty in a prominent female lead role.
