Pavada Story

Pavada is a malayalam comedy movie directed by G. Marthandan. Movie stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Anoop Menon, Asha Sarath, Miya George and Biju Menon in the lead role. Earlier Shobana was supposed to do a key role but she was later replaced by Asha Sarath. In Pavada, Prithvi plays a drunken carefree young man who lead life without any aims or responsibilities. Once Joy met his old acquaintance Babu Joseph (Anoop Menon) a college professor who make changes to Joy's insights towards life and rest form the plot of movie. Soundtrack: The film's songs are composed by Aby Tom Cyriac with lyrics written by B. K. Hari Narayanan. Release Date: Movie all set to release on January 15th.

Joy aka Pambu Joy (Prithviraj) is a chronic alcoholic. He is married to a nurse named Simi (Miya George). Even though Joy is a loving husband, his drinking habit badly affects their married life. Joy decides to go to a de-addiction center. There he meets Prof. Babu Joseph (Anoop Menon) aka Paavada Babu, another chronic alcoholic. They develop a special liking for each and soon becomes great friends. What happens in Joy and Babu's life forms the crux of the story... Prithviraj excels as the chronic alcoholic Joy and mesmerizes with his amazing control over the comical and emotional sequences. Anoop Menon perfectly plays Paavada Babu, an aged alcoholic. A perfect watch for the audiences, who love comical movies with a substance.

Pavada is a tale of friendship shown from a different aspect, an unlikely friendship between two people, one old and one young. It’s the bottle which binds them up from vastly different socio-economic backgrounds. A well executed promising story which discusses the friendship of a two people in a different aspect and also discusses about the ills of alcoholism. First half is a fully enterinter and second half deals with some emotional scenes. A Good Family Comedy Entertainer. Worth Watching.
