<i>Kunhikoonan-2</i> in the making

Dileep gave an unforgettable performance as a hunchback in the film Kunhikoonan. Like all hit films, plans are now on to come up with a sequel to this one.

Dileep had won countless awards for the film including the Critics Award and Lux Asianet Best Actor Award in the year 2002. The film was also remade in Tamil with Surya and Jyothika in the lead roles.

Finally, the producers of Kunhikoonan are giving serious thoughts about making a sequel to the film. But, as of now, only two things have been confirmed- Dileep is going to play the lead role and director Shasishankar is not going to direct the sequel. As soon as the plans are finalized, search will begin for a new heroine.
