Mammotty a writer in Kayyoppu

The movie Kayyoppu is to show Mammootty as a writer. The story revolves around a writer who faces many pitfalls, difficulties and hindrances while writing his first book. Having played similar characters in a few movies earlier, Mammootty said that this movie has featured him in a different angle of the role, which he hasn't done before.

Mukesh plays a role of a publisher. The movie, which runs for 90 minutes, features Mammootty and Khushboo in lead roles. The crew has planned the film to be a low-budget movie and complete it in just 15 days.

The cast includes Nedumudi Venu, Mamukkoya, Anoop Menon, Neena Kurup, Kozhikode Narayanan Nair, Nilambur Aisha and Lakshmi, a new face.

The production and script is done by the director Ranjith himself. The man behind the camera is Manoj Pillai; Bina Paul is handling editing department.
