After making films on the topic of Dons, the Malayalam industry has shifted to show police officer stories who are receiving bribes, corrupt officials, etc.

Vargam featuring Prithviraj shows him as a corrupt police officer who does not feel for getting bribes and allows crime to happen in the city.

Dileep is playing the same character in Inspector Garud and the role name is Madhavan Kutty. The film also features Kavya Madhavan.
