Renuka Menon frankly...
Renuka Menon is one of the most promising faces in Kollywood right now. After making her debut in Malayalam, she shifted her attention to Tamil. She has already completed two films in Tamil- February 14 and Das. Unfortunately, both the films did'nt do well.
Two average grossers isn't the kind of label that a newcomer actress would want to have. But, Renuka has a new film- this one has her sharing the screen with one of the hottest young heroes in Tamil right now- Arya. Kalaaba Kaadhala is the name of the film.
Does
anybody
else
in
you
family
belong
to
the
film
industry?
No.
My
father
is
an
advocate
and
my
mother
is
a
housewife.
How
did
you
get
into
the
film
industry
then?
I
was
very
interested
in
films
since
the
age
of
5.
My
mom
used
to
send
my
pictures
to
various
magazines
for
publication.
One
such
picture
had
appeared
on
the
cover
of
'Mahilarathnam'.
A
film
producer
saw
it.
My
father
already
knew
him.
He
got
in
touch
with
my
father
and
wanted
to
know
if
I
was
interested
in
considering
film
offers.
What
attracted
you
to
films?
I
love
trying
on
new
dresses
and
I
love
to
act.
Why
did
you
decide
to
shift
to
Tamil?
Cinema
is
a
beautiful
art.
I
believe
that
language
shouldn't
divide
it.
If
the
role
is
good,
the
language
doesn't
really
matter.
Do
you
notice
anything
different
about
Tamil
and
Malayalam
films?
Both
are
very
different,
even
in
their
basic
approaches.
Do
you
believe
that
glamour
alone
is
sufficient
to
survive
in
the
industry?
In
the
initial
stages,
glamour
does
help
in
establishing
yourself.
But
if
you
want
to
gain
a
strong
foothold,
you
will
have
to
soon
switch
to
roles
that
have
immense
performance
possibilities.
What's
your
ambition?
An
actress
can't
have
a
long
life
in
the
field.
I
want
to
enjoy
mine
for
as
long
as
it
lasts.
I'll
then
switch
my
attention
to
some
other
field,
maybe
fashion
designing.
Would
you
be
interested
in
modeling
too?
Of
course
I'm
interested
in
modelling.
The
brand
has
to
be
good.
The
company
producing
the
product
has
to
be
good
too.
I
don't
mind
modelling
even
when
I'm
acting
in
films.
