Vimala interested in Malayalam

Vimala Raman is the heroine of director K Balachander's latest Tamil film, Poi. For some strange reasons, the film is unable to hit the theatres in spite of the fact that it had been ready for months now. In all probabilities, it might get released in the second week of January to coincide with the Tamil festival of Pongal.

The talented actress, an Australia-based NRI, was jubilant when the acclaimed director picked her up to be the heroine of his 101st film. Prakashraj had produced it. Geethu Mohandas had played the role of the second heroine. Telugu actor Udaykiran is the hero.

Before getting into films, she had hosted a TV show. She now has got a new offer in Telugu.

Vimala Raman has expressed her desire to star in Malayalam films.
