Get ready for a grand Onam

This year Onam will see the release of six movies. Another factor for excitement is that the two titans of Malayalam Cinema will clash - Mammotty&Mohanlal. Topping the list is Mohanlal's Alibhai. He is playing an action hero in the film. Recently the film finished its postproduction work and has got its Censor certificate too. It will be screened in 75 screens through out the state, a record for Malayalam films s far.

Mammotty will see his film Ore Kadal release during the festive season. The film has actress Meera jasmine acting opposite the superstar. The movies distributors Eric and Emil have seen to it that the film has a 56-theatre release. Suresh Gopi too will have his share of the sun when his films Kitchamani MBA and Black Cat release during the season.

Lohitadas film Niviyedam will be released too among all the fanfare with the seasons big releases. It will be in theatres on the 24th of August. It will be released in 30 centres. The release of many other films including Mammotty's Nasrani, Prithviraj's Chocolate and Dileep's' Calcutta News have been delayed due to not being able to be completed on time and other issues.
