Rain delays Calcutta News again

Blessy"s Calcutta News that was slated to hit theatres this Onam, got delayed due to rains and strikes by the film artists and was rescheduled to hit the theatres this Ramzan. The movie, starring Dileep and Meera Jasmine in the lead, completed its shooting in Kolkatta and had moved to Kochi for shooting of the remaining part.

However, due to heavy rains in Kerala, the movie has been further postponed for release in Diwali. Dileep plays the role of a local TV programmer and Meera Jasmine plays the role of a singer in the film.

Dileep has plenty of films in his kitty. Reportedly he will shortly begin work on his film, Romeo. His film July 4, could not hit theatres as planned on his lucky date, July 4 and was a debacle. He now has high expectations from his film, Calcutta News.
