Hollywood leading lady in Pazhassi Raja

Hollywood actress Linda Arseniyo has been signed for the lead role opposite Mammooty in Pazhassi Raja directed by veteran Hariharan. Linda is not a new face for Indian movie goers. She has already in the Hindi film Kabul Express and has signed a film with Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra, the director of Rang de Basanthi. Padma Priya, the leading Malayalam actress, also has an important role in Pazhassi Raja. Along with them, Sarath Kumar makes his debut in Malayalam through this film.

The pooja of the film has performed last week in Chennai Prasad Studio. At that time, the director said that he had plans to give a Hollywood actress the lead role opposite Mammooty -'...Because the story requires such a face. Since the story is a historical one, we have to fulfilled the requirements well' the director told.

Linda is very happy about her Malayalam debut. She said: "I know a lot about the actor Mammooty. I had seen his movie Ambedkar and was stunned by his performance. Mammooty is one of the rare actors in the Sub continent. I'm proud to be a part of this team...' Linda will appear in the film as an Indian beauty who attracts the King. Maestro Ilayaraaja is scoring the music and M.T.Vasudevan Nair penned the script.
