Mammooty's Superstar touch!

Mammooty and Mohanlal are easily the highest paid stars of the Malayalam film industry. But there are times when the actors come forward to act in a film for free because the scripts are very good.

Mammooty had previously worked for very low pays in Adoor Gopalakrishnan's and TV Chandran's films. He had recently completed on such film.

These days, Mammooty looks for films that are offbeat but still retain a commercial touch. Ranjit's Kaioppu is one such film. Ranjit is the producer and director of the film. The entire film's shooting was completed in 12 days. The film will be released on the 12th of January.

Meanwhile, Mammooty has also accepted a film with Shaji Kailash. The two had worked in three films before- The King, The Truth and Vellyettan. The director has confirmed that it will be an action-suspense film.
