Meera, highest paid actress

Malayalam actress, Meera Jasmine, is the highest-paid actress in the Malayalam film industry. She has been paid a sum of Rs15 lakhs for her latest venture.

Introduced by Lohithadas with the film Soothradharan in 2001, Meera rose to fame with the Tamil movie Run. The actress has since become popular in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. Though the actress gets paid more in Tamil films, yet she has continued showing her interest in Malayalam movies. Her Malayalam hits include Achuvinte Amma, Rasantantram and Vinodayathra. It was Katrina Kaif who had been paid the highest amount for a Malayalam film, but Meera Jasmine has now overtaken her.
