You might as well write down a new rule- any movie actress will, sooner or later, make her debut on TV. Meera Vasudevan manages to make headlines with an impressive film or two from time to time. For a while, it looked as if she had successfully beat the "married heroine" jinx because she was getting some pretty good offers. But the actress is now shifting her attention to megaserials.

Kanalpoovu is the name of the megaserial that will mark her small-screen debut. The megaserial is the story of Suhasini, a young woman from a very simple family who ends up getting married to a multi-millionaire building contractor. The marriage wasn't all that simple. Lot of controversies had taken place to make that marriage happen. Big troubles begin when a man named Sudhakaran enters the couple's life. P Shreekumar and Koshore Sathya play the male lead roles in this megaserial.
