Nandita to direct Malayalam films!

Nandita Das, the talented actress in most of the Indian languages, is planning to direct films in Malayalam.

As on date the actress is acting in two Malayalam films, one by cinematographer turned director Santosh Sivan's 'Before the Rain'. The other film is directed by veteran Adoor Gopalakrishnan.

Both are art films in nature and one always associates Nandhitha Das with art films. In Tamil, she did films selectively like Azhagi. Because of her art film image, most of the commercial directors have shunned her in their films. But she says she loves commercial films as much as art films. Of late, she has been acting in many films and plans to become a director, that too for a commercial film. This is also a reason for her acceptance to act in many films.

Now she is in search of a good producer for her maiden venture as a director!
