Padmapriya finally breaks through

For a while, Padmapriya was in almost all the Malayalam films. But she wasn't immune to the charms of acting in a Tamil film or two. Unfortunately, she chose a very difficult role to make her debut with. Though the film became a big hit, Padmapriya career in Tamil frankly never went anywhere from there.

So, she came back to Malayalam but still occasionally tried her luck in Tamil. Her new Tamil film is with director Swami who had earlier made Uyir. This was Samvrutha Sunil's debut film in Tamil. The film was a huge hit but it did nothing to Samvrutha's career.

The new film's name is Mirugam and it will have a rank newcomer in the lead role. Padmapriya is the heroine. This one too is likely to have a controversial story. The director says that the story is about a hero who is a brute and the heroine reforms him. As of now, she hasn't accepted any more new films in Malayalam.
