First,
a
dried
coconut
leaf
barely
misses
landing
on
Nandagopan's
and
Bhaskar's
head
as
they
make
their
way
to
the
lawn.
Startled,
the
two
look
up
only
to
see
the
beautiful
Chembakam,
perched
on
the
coconut
tree.
The
scene
is
from
Pandhaiyakozhi,
Lal's
new
film
as
a
producer.
Naren
and
Cochin
Haniffa
are
Nandagopan
and
Bhaskar
respectively.
The
beautiful
Pooja
is
Chembakam!
In
all,
she
had
acted
in
about
18
films
in
Tamil,
Telugu
and
Singhalese.
This
is
her
first
film
in
Malayalam.
The
coconut-tree
scene
is
also
her
introduction
scene
in
the
film.
The
otherwise
modern
and
cosmopolitan
girl
was
dressed
in
'half'
sari.
With
flowers
in
her
braided
hair
and
a
nose-pin,
she
looked
like
a
typical
village-girl.
She
was
initially
signed
up
to
be
Dileep's
heroine
in
Don,
but
was
replaced
by
Gopika.
Lal's
new
film
with
director
MA
Venu
just
might
be
a
better
option
for
her.
