The
Malayalam
Film
Industry
has
a
reason
to
rejoice.
Director
Vinayan's
Adbhutadweep
has
attracted
top
producers
in
Hollywood
and
they
have
approached
the
director
for
the
film's
remake
rights.
But
really-
when
you
think
about
it
-
how
can
a
story
based
on
an
island
full
of
short
and
tall
people
not
intrigue
and
intrest
Hollywood,
especially
with
flicks
like
Pirates
of
the
Caribbean
rocking
the
Box
Office.
It
may
be
a
story
seen
before
in
the
form
of
Gulliver's
Travels
but
nevertheless
the
fact
that
Hollywood
is
interested
in
it
is
big
enough
for
Malayalam
films
-
atleast
for
now.
For
all
we
know
the
rumour
that
he
himself
will
direct
it
could
be
true.
The
Tamil
version
of
the
film
titled
Arpudatheevu
and
its
Telugu
version
were
released
a
while
back
and
seem
to
be
raking
in
the
moolah
too.
Possible
reasons
for
this
very
interesting
development
could
be
Vinayan's
penchant
for
using
"extra" special
effects.
He
wanted
to
use
the
special
effects
that
were
used
for
Hollywood
blockbuster
Jurassic
Park
in
the
film.
Well,
don't
you
think
its
time
Indian
films
get
their
due?
So
what's
next
for
Vinayan
-
the
Oscars?
