It
seems
that
Malayalam
cinema
is
following
the
path
of
Bollywood
and
Kollywood
films
by
releasing
in
foreign
markets.
Akashagopuram,
which
is
the
highest-budgeted
Malayalam
movie
so
far,
will
be
releasing
in
select
foreign
cities.
Apparently,
the
producers
believe
that
it
is
important
to
tap
the
foreign
markets
to
recoup
the
investment
made.
The
producers
have
entered
into
various
tie-ups
to
release
the
film
in
the
US
and
Europe.
Meanwhile,
the
film,
which
was
released
in
Kerala
on
22nd
August,
is
running
with
average
collections.
The
film
is
based
on
the
classic
play
'The
Master
Builder'
by
Norwegian
writer
Henrik
Ibsen,
the
story
of
an
architect
whose
judgment
and
values
get
affected
by
his
ambition
to
remain
at
the
top.
The
film,
which
was
shot
entirely
in
Great
Britain,
will
release
in
the
US
with
English
subtitles.
