AMMA bans Meera from acting

Malayalam actress Meera Jasmine has been banned by Malayalam Film Association (AMMA) from acting in any Malayalam movies in the state. But why?

The reason for the ban is said to be that she has rejected to be a part of the movie Twenty:20, produced by AMMA, in which all Malayalam celebrities are going to appear free of cost.

When Meera was approached for a role, she did not allocate any dates since she had a clash with the dates of her Telugu movies. Since she did not allot any dates, she was banned. The ban will be effective until AMMA lifts the ban.
