progressing
in
Benaras,
also
known
as
Varanasi,
one
of
world's
oldest
living
cities
and
the
religious
capital
of
India.
Banaras
is
an
offbeat
love
story,
flowering
in
the
backdrop
of
pilgrim
centres
in
Varanasi.
The
film
gives
equal
importance
to
music
as
well.
Produced
by
M.R.
Nair
under
the
banner
of
Kashi
films,
the
film
presents
Vineeth
as
a
research
student
on
folk
dances
and
will
have
some
brilliantly-choreographed
dance
sequences.
For
the
first
time,
Kavya
Madhavan
plays
a
classical
dancer
in
the
film
which
has
Meera
Nandan
of
Mulla
fame
in
a
key
role.
The
other
importance
cast
members
include
Jagathy,
Nedumudi
Venu,
Devan,
Bineesh
Kodiyeri,
Harisree
Asokan,
Suraj
Vejaramoodu.
