Anasuya: Bhumika's Malayalam debut

Telugu director Ravi Babu's Anasuya, a 12 crore movie which was simultaneously shot in five languages ( Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi,Telugu and Bhojpuri), will start its run at Kerala theatres from today (October 17). South Indian actress Bhumika Chawla makes her debut in Malayalam with this multilingual movie which was a huge hit in Telugu.

Starring Abbas and director Ravi Babu in the lead roles, the film tells the story of an orphan Anasuya (Bhumika) who is working for a TV channel as a reporter. She is entrusted with a job to crack the secrets behind mysterious serial killings in the city. After collecting the inner organs of the victims, the killer always leaves a rose at the crime scene as his calling card.

Meanwhile, a cop (Abbas) is also given the responsibility to solve the mystery. Unexpectedly, Anasuya comes face to face with the killer when he kills her uncle. Anasuya clearly recognizes the killer, who pretends to be physically disabled in real life.

The rest of the story is all about how Anasuya chases the serial killer and unravels the mystery behind his killings. The highlight of the film is that it turns into a violent horror story in the second half. Director Ravi Babu appears as a villain in the movie.
