Dasavatharam collections for charity

The Palakkad district unit of the Kamal Hassan Fans' Welfare Association has received the consent of two theatres to donate the collections of the first special show of the Kamal Hassan starrer Dasavatharam to charity.

Kamal Fans' Association President R. Selvan said that the proceeds of the first show at 7:00 a.m. at Priya theatre and the initial show at 8:00 p.m. at the New Aroma theatre would be utilized to help the family of the late Kathiresan, former member of the Fans' Association who died eight months ago of jaundice. The amount will be deposited in the name of Kirthika, the one-year-old child of Kathiresan.

Dasavatharam, K.S. Ravikumar-directed big budget extravaganza featuring Kamal Hassan in ten different roles, is releasing in three theatres -- Priyadarshini, Aroma and New Aroma today.
