Can
a
married
actress
be
accepted
in
glamorous
roles?
Ask
Jyothirmayi,
who
was
first
a
serial
artist,
entered
the
world
of
films
with
the
Malayalam
movie
Meesha
Madhavan
in
2000,
and
forayed
into
Tamil
movies
after
getting
married
to
Nishanth,
a
software
engineer
in
2004.
"I
don't
mind
glamorous
roles
after
marriage," she
says.
"Yes,
I
am
married
and
happily
married.
I
am
still
doing
glamorous
roles
in
many
films,
including
Kannada
film
Bandhu
Balaga.
I
would
continue
to
look
pretty
and
sexy
on
screen.
I'm
not
committing
any
crime
by
doing
glamorous
roles," some
sources
quoted
her
as
saying.
She
played
the
second
female
lead
opposite
Shivaraj
Kumar
in
director
Naganna's
recently-released
Bandhu
Balaga.
Jyothirmayi
also
revealed
that
an
actress
is
no
different
from
other
ladies
who
continue
their
careers
after
marriage.
She
has
the
same
feelings
and
has
to
run
her
family
like
any
other
ordinary
person.
For
an
actress,
there
is
nothing
wrong
in
getting
married
when
she
is
at
the
peak
of
her
career.
Today,
we
have
a
mature
audience
who
can
differentiate
between
the
personal
and
professional
life
of
an
actress,
she
said.
Jyothirmayi
also
stressed
that
she
shares
a
good
rapport
with
her
husband
and
he
never
interferes
in
her
professional
life.
"There
is
a
good
understanding
between
us.
He
realizes
the
expectations
of
the
industry
from
an
actress
like
me.
He
never
objects
to
me
doing
glamorous
roles.
It's
entirely
up
to
me
to
accept
or
reject
a
role,"
she
said.
