Kamal-Mohanlal team unite after 10 years

Director Kamal-Mohanlal team had given us some of the most memorable classic movies in the history of Malayalam cinema like Mizhineer Pookal (1986), Unnikale Oru Katha Parayam (1987), Orkapurathu (1988), Vishnulokam (1991), Ulladakkam (1991) and Ayaal Katha Ezhuthukayaanu (1998).

Many of these films are popular for their music as well as the diversity in their themes and considered to be milestone movies in Malayalam. However, after Ayaal Katha Ezhuthukayaanu, which was a big hit at the box office, Kamal-Mohanlal team did not work together for the last 10 years.

Anyway, Kamal, one of the top-ranked directors in Malayalam, is finally planning to unite with Mohanlal for his next venture to be produced by Omar, who made Nivedyam (2007), directed by Lohithadas. This yet-to-be-titled film will be finalized once Mohanlal completes Amal Neerad's Sagar alias Jackie, a sequel to Irupataam Noottaandu (1987). More details are awaited.
