Kamal-Mohanlal joins for Kandhahar!

Legendary actors Kamal Hassan and Mohanlal joined hands for the first time in their career for the movie Kandhahar, a bilingual film in Tamil and Malayalam based on a hijack plot on the skies some eight years ago. Major Ravi, a former military officer turned filmmaker in Malayalam film industry, is directing the film. According to Ravi, it will be a coup in the film industry that both the legendary actors nodded for this project for the first time.

Ravi Said, "Kandhahar plot is a well planned international conspiracy, but many facts behind the plot have not been revealed. My film in Tamil and Malayalam will expose the truth. If everything goes well according to my plan, both the legends will appear on screen for the first time and will give a treat to their fans."

It may be recalled that Kamal had expressed his desire to act with Mohanlal in recent press meet held for Hridhyaraagam 2008.

But before Kandhahar, Ravi will shoot a film on the Kargil war, which he says will be another shocking revelation of the Kargil episode. The film, which also stars Mohanlal, will focus on the post-war situation. To be shot in Dubai, Pakistan and India, the Rs 8 crore budgeted film will have the characters of Pakistan President Musharaf and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the key players in the Kargil war.
