Katha Parayumbol goes to Bollywood

Sreenivasan is becoming popular as his movies are being remade in almost all Indian languages. For example, Udhayannau Tharam and Sanmanassullavarkku Samadhanam were both remade and garnered good box-office collections.

Katha Parayumbol is the latest movie to be remade in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously with Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role; work is already underway at Kollywood; in Tamil, the film is titled Kuselan. Pashupathy will be the barber in the Tamil version.

In Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan's home production Red Chillies Entertainment is to produce the remake. Irrfan Khan is to play the barber's role; the film is titled after his character, Billoo Barber.

Kareena Kapoor will replace Meena's role in the original. Shahrukh Khan will make a cameo as the film's superstar.
